Bio
Jen Wilburn, LMHC-QS, CIC, is the founder and lead clinician of Stormy Seas Coaching and Counseling, LLC, a private practice based in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Jen’s work sits at the intersection of mental health, workplace systems, and wellbeing—supporting individuals and organizations in navigating the real-world impact of mental health conditions in the workplace.
In addition to her clinical practice, Jen is a nationally recognized consultant specializing in workplace mental health, disability accommodations, and leaves of absence. She brings deep expertise in employee experience and workplace wellbeing, advising on complex accommodation and leave cases, functional limitations, documentation best practices, and sustainable return-to-work strategies. Her approach bridges clinical insight with practical, employer-aligned solutions, helping employees remain supported and engaged at work while organizations reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Jen has led and built programs within the technology and healthcare sectors, developing scalable strategies that address ableism, accessibility, and inclusion across the employee lifecycle. Her work has contributed to Fortune 100 companies and large healthcare organizations being recognized globally as top employers for disability equality, reflecting her ability to translate mental health advocacy into systems-level impact.
Alongside her consulting work, Jen maintains a private practice and offers seasonal “Mindful Meditation on the Beach”classes in Jacksonville Beach each year, known for their grounding, community-centered approach to stress reduction and resilience.
Jen is licensed in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Qualified Supervisor (QS) and is a Certified Intrinsic Life Coach (CIC). She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Creative Writing, English, with Honors, from Florida State University.
