About the Practice
With a full range of services through life coaching or counseling sessions, Jen Wilburn supports her clients in reaching wellness for the mind, body, and spirit. Whether it be stress, life transitions, healing from trauma, relationship issues, self-empowerment, or personal and professional growth, this is the place for you.
Coaching or Counseling sessions may include: individual, couples, and family sessions. Sessions are also available as Distance via Skype or FaceTime, by telephone, and as Walk & Talk sessions (which includes an exercise component to reach client wellness goals). Jen is a holistic healer and provides a warm, nonjudgmental, safe, and confidential environment for healing and change to take place. She utilizes techniques and interventions unique to the needs an individual brings into session. However, clients may request certain therapies, such as art and poetry therapy, meditation, bibliotherapy, play therapy and many more. She sees clients of all ages and takes a culturally sensitive approach to working with individuals whose culture or spiritual values are important in the process of making decisions and creating change.
All coaching and counseling sessions, as well as classes are self-pay with sliding fee scale available based on income. Session packages available.
Therapeutic Book Club
Join a supportive book club where we read a book designed for self-growth and discovery! We meet in small groups to discuss insights gathered from the weekly assigned readings. Receive validation from within the group, understand how these insights relate to personal situations and how you can take what you've learned to improve relationships, especially the one you have with yourself! Mindful Meditation Classes on the Beach
In Mindful Meditation class, you learn to work with your breath and body to restore mental clarity and mobility through concentrated, specialized meditation exercises and stretches. Join us in the evenings as we be still in the present moment along the shore, focusing on our breath. This meditation is clinically based (non-religious) and includes progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and breathing techniques (to name a few!) for improving physiological stress responses and increasing self-confidence. Learn how to relax your mind quickly in the face of adversity--anytime, anywhere. This class is great for beginners or those who are curious of what mindfulness or the meditation buzz is all about! To follow pictures and tag yourself, Instagram #MMB or you can find pictures on the Facebook page. Must be age 13 or older, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Classes are around 40 minutes. The 2018 Mindful Meditation on the Beach season will likely begin in late May, so stay tuned.
